How much photo retouching can you do?

You tell us. If you merely want your skin smoothed out, or a few lines decreased, we can do that. If you would like your photo taken all the way to the Glamour Magazine Cover stage, we can do that too. When you order, just give us an idea of what you’re looking for, what you might want to use it for, and any special areas that you would like us to focus on (ie, remove blemishes, freckles, lines or scars; smooth my skin; change my eye color to purple; take off a few years; I’m a doctor and I merely want a more polished resume photo don’t glamorize me; I’m an actor – please make me look like I belong on a magazine cover!), and we will attempt to follow your directions.

What are the best types of photos that can be retouched?

The more options we have, the closer we can get to meeting your expectations. If your photo is well-lit, evenly lit, close up, and of a good resolution, we will have the best possible chance of meeting your expectations.

What are the worst types of photos for retouching?

Photos that are poorly or unevenly lit, shadows across your face, far away face(s), blurry images or a poor resolution will not produce the best possible retouching options. And because we guarantee that you are happy with your result, it is important that we can start with a pretty good image in the beginning.

Does my picture have to be shot by a professional photographer?

No. In fact, we have achieved some terrific results from good-quality snapshots. We tend to prefer these shots because they usually possess a bit more ‘life’ in them – a bit more ‘you’. Of course because professional photos almost always guarantee good quality lighting, your expectations are more consistently achieved. But send us what you’ve got and we’ll give it the old college try!

Do you guarantee your photo retouching services?

You bet we do! We will send you a low-resolution digital proof to approve before we send your final image. Once you have approved it, we will finish producing your order and send your new photo(s) to you as ordered. If however you are not quite satisfied with the proof, let us know how we can finish it off (ie, “Put that little mole back in” or “I can still see that scar” or “My skin looks too smooth – can you make it look a bit more real?”), and we’ll take another try at it. If you are still not satisfied, no worries as we will happily refund 100% of your money for that photo.
